Biography

David got his Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics in Mexico (CINVESTAV). He is currently a senior postdoctoral researcher who has focused his past research on understanding the first alterations that occur in the development of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). He is currently studying the role of the tau protein (a hallmark marker of AD) in early brain development.

Awards: 

  • In recent years, he has been awarded the Alzheimer’s Association fellowship grant (AARFD-22-926807, $175,000.00 USD) to support his research.
